Texas Computer Ed Association Names Superintendent of the Year

Dr. Nola Wellman was named Superintendent of the Year by the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) Tuesday night, honored for her constant push to transform instruction to the needs and expectations of students in today's fast-paced, technology-rich environment.

The award is presented to a superintendent who recognizes the importance of technology in the teaching and learning process and actively promotes the use of technology throughout the district.

 "Dr. Wellman is a leader in recognizing the value of educational technology in advancing student-centered learning. And she is a champion for advocating its use in K-12 education," said Dr. James "Kal" Kallison, Eanes ISD Board President. "Dr. Wellman is quite deserving of this award, and I am pleased to see her efforts recognized.
 
Dr. Wellman was presented an engraved plaque and a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior of her choice.
