Tennessee District Announces Schools Participating in Tech Initiative

Knox County Schools (Tenn.) has made a push to implement more technology in the classroom through its "School Technology Challenge."

The program's mission is to have one technology device for each student and teacher. A total of 28 schools applied to be a part of the pilot initiative.

On Friday afternoon, Dr. Jim McIntrye, superintendent of Knox County Schools, announced the 11 schools participating in the first challenge.

  • Vine Middle School
  • Halls Elementary School
  • Corryton Elementary School
  • Mooreland Heights Elementary School
