Stomach Bug Affects More than 120 Wayne (Pa.) Students, Teachers

What appears to be a bad stomach bug is ripping through a small school in Wayne.

A little more than 120 children and three teachers were out sick Thursday at Saint Katharine of Siena School in Wayne. That’s out of the 444 students and 35 teachers who attend and teach at the kindergarten through 8th grade school.

Principal Bud Tosti said he called in the Delaware County Health Department to help the school figure out what is causing students and teachers to come down with symptoms, which include stomach aches, vomiting and diarrhea.
