Spartanburg County (S.C.) Schools Increase Security After Student Threat

The school is sending out a message to families of students who attend Byrnes High School and Byrnes Freshman Academy informing them of the threat.

Superintendent Dr. Scott Turner tells 7 On Your Side the male student was overheard saying he would kill his ex-girlfriend, students and faculty at Byrnes Freshman Academy. He also posted the threat on social media.

Turner stated in the message that the student who made the threat against students and staff has been removed from the school and recommended for expulsion.
