Monett R-1 School Board members filled several administrative and teaching positions during a special session on April 11.

David Miller, who is completing his second year as assistant principal at Monett High School, was named as the new director of the Scott Regional Technology Center, succeeding Russ Moreland.

"This is a good move for him and us," said Superintendent Brad Hanson. "We hope David will provide stability for the program. He will be our fifth director in six years."

Resignations were accepted from Lieutenant Colonel Maella Blalock and Monett High School math teacher Amy Dickson. Blalock has been the ranking officer in the JROTC program at Scott Tech for the past six years and will move to the JROTC program in the Clinton School District.

Josh Graves was hired as the high school boys basketball coach, coming to Monett from the Humansville district. His teaching assignment has not been determined.
