Mt. Diablo school board selects superintendent finalist from San Diego

The Mt. Diablo school board has unanimously selected Nellie Meyer, deputy superintendent of the San Diego Unified School District, as the finalist for the Mt. Diablo superintendent position.

Mt. Diablo school board President Cheryl Hansen announced the decision in a letter to staff, noting that it will not be finalized until contract negotiations have been completed and trustees make a site visit to San Diego. If all goes well, Hansen said the board expects to ratify Meyer's contract on Aug. 28.
