School districts in Minnesota and North Dakota can now purchase the Schoolwires Centricity2™ website and content management system and other Schoolwires’ solutions at a discounted and more cost-effective rate. The Minnesota Service Cooperatives recently signed an agreement with Schoolwires, selecting the company as its only approved content management provider for its member districts.

The Minnesota Service Cooperatives consists of eight educational service agencies serving 489 K-12 districts in Minnesota. In addition, the cooperative partners with the North Dakota Educators Service Cooperative which serves 184 school district members. Members of both cooperatives can benefit from the preferred pricing agreement for Schoolwires’ solutions. Also, the Centricity2 content management system is 91% e-rate eligible, while Nimbus™, a safe, collaborative learning community for teachers, students and parents, is 93% e-rate eligible.

“We chose Schoolwires as our website provider because their Centricity2 content management system provides a strong combination of easy usability and rich features,” said Jane Eastes, Director of Operations, Minnesota Service Cooperatives. “The CMS offers a number of tools, including blogs, surveys, and a personal MyView portal, to support school-to-home communications and help members of K-12 communities collaborate more effectively. In addition to providing the solutions at a discounted rate, the Cooperative will help our members understand how to use the software and connect with other users for additional support.”

The Minnesota Service Cooperatives joins about 50 other cooperatives in New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas, Washington, and other states across the country that have chosen Schoolwires as their preferred content management vendor.

“Cooperatives play an important role in bringing high quality solutions to their membership at attractive prices,” said Christiane Crawford, President and Chief Executive Officer, Schoolwires. “And Schoolwires has strong relationships and deep experience in helping cooperatives bring even more value to their members through the creation of communication and collaboration hubs that are centered around student success within each district community.”
