The Natick (Mass.) Education Foundation is reviving a fundraiser to support school technology through a series of parties.
The foundation held a Taste for Technology fundraiser about five years ago, where people hosted dozens of parties and invited their friends to socialize and support technological initiatives in Natick Public Schools.
The foundation is bringing back the concept April 5-7 and encouraging parents and other community members to host a party. Parties do not have to occur during that weekend.
"It’s a great community-building activity," said Rosemary Driscoll, the foundation’s president. "It’s also obviously raising money and having fun while doing it."
With advances in technology and strains on the school budget, organizers felt this year would be a good time to bring back the fundraiser, Driscoll said.
