Hillsboro Ore. District Will Lose Two Administrators to Retirement and Move Several Principals

The Hillsboro School District has announced several retirements and changes in school principals for next school year.

 Human Resources Assistant Superintendent Lu Biado, a former Brown Middle School principal, will retire at the end of December. Biado spent 14 years as an administrator in the district, starting as an assistant principal at Poynter Middle School. She joined the human resources department in 2006 and was promoted to assistant superintendent three years ago.

The district will promote from within the human resources department to replace Biado.

Debbie Ashley, currently the executive director who focuses on classified employees will lead the department. Ashley began her career as a special education teacher in Texas. She has also worked as an elementary school principal in Cottage Grove and Eugene. She was a human resources administrator in Eugene before moving to Hillsboro to accept a similar position in 2006. She was promoted to executive director three years ago.
