The Greater Lowell Technical High School Committee agreed unanimously on something Wednesday night, but it wasn't on a new superintendent.
After going through 31 more votes that each ended in a 4-4 tie, the committee opted to immediately look for an interim superintendent who could serve for an initial period of three months and take one more meeting to vote on the three finalists before reopening the search for a permanent superintendent after July 1.
The committee took 170 votes last week that each ended in a 4-4 tie.
Erik Gitschier and Fred Bahou, both of Lowell, continued to vote for candidate David Norkiewicz, technical director at Shawsheen Valley High School in Billerica.
Vice Chairman George O'Hare and Ray Boutin, both of Lowell, Victor Olson, of Dracut, and David Tully, of Dunstable, continued to vote for Paul Schlichtman, district coordinator of research, assessment and testing in the Lowell Public Schools.
