Ex-Staten Islander 'Elected' to Run Tenn. Charter

"Every day feels like Election Day," says Ravi Gupta, 29, a former Staten Islander who founded a charter school in Nashville, Tenn., in 2011.

And Gupta knows well what Election Day is like -- from inside campaign headquarters.

Having worked on Barack Obama's presidential campaign while enrolled in Yale Law School, and later as a special assistant and speechwriter to U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice, he was poised for career success.
