Leader in web and cloud-based educational solutions, ClassLink announces its nomination in three 2013 CODiE award categories for LaunchPad™ and a fourth nomination for ClassMate®. LaunchPad™ is the only personal cloud desktop for K-12 with multiple views that give teachers and students access to all their applications and files from anywhere at any time, while LaunchPad™ iOS and Touch Apps add unparalleled mobile access. ClassMate is a powerful student administration and curriculum management solution that can be customized for unique schooling environments.

This is the ninth consecutive year that ClassLink has been honored as a CODiE finalist. Sponsored by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), the CODiE awards celebrate outstanding achievement and vision in the software industry.

ClassLink received finalist nominations in the following categories:

  • Best Cloud Management Solution: LaunchPad™ Suite
  • Best Cloud Application Service: LaunchPad™ iOS and Touch Apps
  • Best Educational Use of a Mobile Device: LaunchPad™ iOS and Touch Apps
  • Best K-12 Course or Learning Management Solution: ClassLink ClassMate®

ClassLink is 4-time CODiE winner and 13-time CODiE finalist. This year, for the first time, ClassLink LaunchPad is both a finalist in the education and the software categories.

“We are all incredibly honored at ClassLink to receive multiple CODiE nominations once again this year. I want to especially thank the educators and software experts who personally reviewed our LaunchPad and ClassMate solutions,” said Berj Akian, ClassLink CEO. “Receiving four CODiE Finalist award nominations highlights the immense amount of work and talent that have developed LaunchPad and ClassMate into industry leading solutions.”

“We’re pleased with the innovative educational technology products that made it to this stage. All of this year’s finalists show great promise, and they should be proud of their finalist status,” said Karen Billings, vice president of the SIIA Education Division. “I look forward to seeing them all in May at the Ed Tech Industry Summit.”

The SIIA CODiE Awards are the industry's only peer-reviewed awards program. Educators and administrators conduct the first-round review of all the education nominees and industry executives and analysts, representatives of media outlets, bloggers, and investors of all the software nominees.  The judges are responsible for selecting the CODiE Awards finalists, and SIIA members then vote on the finalist products. The scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners. Details about each finalist are listed at http://siia.net/codies/2013/finalists.asp.
