Alabama district expands robotics program

The Shelby County Board of Education is expanding its science and technology programs this year by offering Chelsea Middle School the same robotics course available at Oak Mountain Middle School.

"We have a new program at Chelsea Middle School that will be doing the automation and robotics that we saw at Oak Mountain Middle School, which started last year," said Rene Day, coordinator of career and technical education, college and career planning and community partnerships for the Shelby County Board of Education.
