Missouri will (finally) release student test scores in February

The results of state-mandated tests given to Missouri public school students in April and May are expected to be released Feb. 1, significantly later than usual.

In the past, reading and math scores were released to the public as early as August and provided a snapshot of academic achievement at the grade, subject, school, district and state levels.

Stacey Preis, the state’s deputy commissioner for education, said the lengthy delay this year was the result of transitioning to new exams based on new academic standards — guidelines for what students ought to know at each grade level.
