This new system from Epson is a significant new development in interactive whiteboard technology. The ultra-short-throw projector is able to detect the movement of the included stylus pen when it enters the light beam, eliminating the need for additional hardware to detect touch, as in traditional interactive whiteboards, and adding interactivity to any surface. The new Millenium 700 Series of small format printers from Direct Color Systems can quickly print a variety of name badges and access cards for maintaining security by identifying visitors or employees and restricting access to areas in a school building. These printers use a proprietary digital imaging technology that produces professional-looking, full-color cards, including graphics, scanned images or original artwork at a speed of 25 seconds per card.
